![]() Many many users are angry about this and have been posting about this issue for months or more on Calibre forums and elsewhere. Bezos is too busy to fix (yacht parties, natch). Nobody is dumb enough to think that this is an accident, a software bug, or a small overlooked issue that only 1 reader cares about, and J. ![]() I add books to my Kindle over USB, covers show for a few seconds, then the Kindle blanks out the cover and shows its own DUMB BLANK cover. Kindle is and has been for a long time overwriting book covers with a cover for books not officially purchased from the KINDLE AMAZON STORE. Wrote to sure they'll get right on it, top priority for them and all that. So far Amazon seems to be winning the war to out people's covers if they haven't personally put a few silver coins into Beeezos' pocket for each and every single mobi. So something is possible to fix the issue, but I don't know what that speecial magic is yet. One hint that some fix is possible: Amazon's Kindle Previewer 3 correctly writes out a persistent book cover for mobis when I use it to convert epub -> mobi, even random epubs I've authored that don't have any asin or any other magic tag-tags. Other tools/scripts have not been updated in a few decades. There's a tool that claims to unpack mobis, but then you need different tool (MobiPocket) to attempt to re-pack the mobi, and that tool is dead and the site equally deceased. Nope - everyone and everything recommends Calibre (which is great), but when Calibre fails to do the thing you need, there are no other options. Looked for python and other CLI tools on github and elsewhere. Tried using Amazon's Kindle Previewer 3 tool hoping to "re-write" the mobi, but the tool doesn't have this feature - can only work with. Left the original asin as it was, AND also tried using the asin from the store it's sideloaded), the Kindle removes the cover and displays its standard cover to annoy readers who care about seeing nice covers (that would be 99% of all readers). mobi on people's devices, and if he notices that a. Bezos has taken time off from his party yacht to check every. Kindle contains the "amazon-cover-bug" directory, so Calibre is doing "its thing" to try to fix the covers, but it is not resolving the issue. mobi's to the Kindle (PPW 2018).Ĭovers initially appear on the Kindle, and a few seconds later are replaced with generic blank covers. Used Calibre Win 圆4 (calibre-64bit-5.36.0.msi) to send unmodified. I'm having similar/related missing cover issues with multiple. I am Using Calibre 5.22.1 and the Kindle Paperwhite 3 with latest software. But on Calibre they were higher resolution, and Calibre handled the image rescaling during sideload. All the covers there are low resolution (max of 500px). Is there a way to fix it without converting the books again? I have noticed that Calibre added the covers of the working titles on a folder on my Kindle (amazon-cover-bug). It fixed the cover, but it screwed the layout. But I didn't want to convert again, because I don't want to risk losing all the work I put into the layout. I added the covers after the conversion (stupid). Some people said that when you convert the book, Calibre already makes the cover ready for Kindle by default. Made sure "sharing content via Facebook" option was disabled. BTW, I thought about lowering the resolution of the cover, but some of the books that do display cover on Kindle have high resolution cover on Calibre. Lowered the dpi of some covers from 96dpi to 72dpi. Deleted the book from the Kindle and reloaded them. And some of the books that do show cover don't even have the asin number. I read in many topics that you can just unplug and plug the Kindle again, and Calibre will load the covers for you. When loading my books to the Kindle (via USB, using the "send to device" option on Calibre), some books display their cover, while others don't. I like to choose the best looking cover designs, and I get the highest quality possible (within reason not some 5000px 300dpi monster). Then, last but not least, added the covers. Adjusted line height, paragraph spacing and indentation, headings, etc. Took my sweet time to make the conversion perfect. I have some epubs that I converted to azw3 to read on my Kindle. ![]() I am a bit of a control freak and like to have my library organized and looking pristine.

![]() To replace existing data, the second parameter must be equal to the number of values which we want to add. For example, let's insert the word "banana" into the array instead of the fourth element: let tropicFruits = [Ĭonsole. To insert data without deleting existing data, the second parameter ( delCount) must be zero. It can be used to perform data inserts into arrays under different conditions: Thanks to the parameters, Array.splice() is very flexible in use. But this doesn't apply to situations when empty values are outside the range for insertion or are specified as parameters by the developer. Note that regardless of specified parameters, Array.splice() will glue parts of the array and there wouldn't be empty cells in it. splice(startIndex, delCount, newRecord1, newRecord2…) If the method does not specify data for insertion, and delCount is greater than zero, then only deletion of values from the array will be performed. The number of values for insertion is unlimited, but it affects the speed of the operation as a whole. This is an optional parameter, but if delCount is zero, at least one value must be specified to insert. In addition, in brackets, you can specify the values that will be inserted into the array. In any case, the syntax of Array.splice() should look like this: arrayName. This is an optional method, and if you don't want to delete the existing values of the array, its value must be zero or negative. It is a figure which defines how many cells must be deleted after startIndex. At the same time, if the number is greater than the length of the array, it will add new values to the end of the array, automatically increasing its length.Īlso, the delCount parameter can be added to the method. If this parameter is set as a negative number, it will start counting from the end of the array. It must be a positive number (or equal to 0), but this method can handle other values as well. The first (and always required) parameter is startIndex it's defining the index of the array element from which new values will be added. Accordingly, it performs insertion of values sequentially, starting from the specified cell. There are two parameters here that determine the script for inserting new values and the ability to specify data for insertion. Parameters that affect the execution of this command will be in brackets. ![]() SyntaxĪrray.splice() must be specified in relation to an array whose contents will be changed. It is also important to note that during execution of this method, changes will be applied directly to the original array, so check the syntax of parameters carefully. After adding new data, the method will re-index the elements, automatically increasing (or decreasing) the length of the array to the required value and removing empty cells (if they appear). It is most efficient to add data to the beginning or middle part of an array. The splice() method allows you to add one or more elements sequentially to an existing array. It's better to use the built-in Array method called splice(), which does the same thing just in one line of code. But this is complicated and non-optimized. The most obvious way is to create a new array, then add new data and synchronize different versions of the array. ![]() But during code execution we may need to add new data to the array cells that are already occupied, without deleting the existing ones. In most cases, arrays are filled sequentially, starting from the first cell with a zero index. ![]() In JavaScript, arrays are a convenient way to keep data united by an argument in an organized manner. ![]()
![]() The two characters develop a close friendship throughout the series, and Rue supports Jules’ transition and struggles with gender identity. In the show Euphoria, Rue knows that Jules is a transgender woman. Overall, Jules’ character is a nuanced and complex portrayal of the challenges and experiences faced by many transgender individuals in real life. She also develops a romantic relationship with a new character named Elliot. In the second season, Jules is shown recovering from a minor surgery to remove a cyst. ![]() She faces discrimination and harassment from peers and family members, struggles with substance abuse and mental health issues, and develops complex relationships with other characters. Jules’ character in Euphoria goes through several significant events and experiences throughout the series. It’s important to note that these risks can be minimized by choosing a qualified and experienced surgeon, following all pre-and post-operative instructions, and taking appropriate steps to manage any underlying health conditions. ![]() In some cases, there may also be a risk of anaesthesia-related complications. Some potential risks of bottom surgery include bleeding, infection, blood clots, scarring, and nerve damage. These risks can vary depending on the specific process and the individual’s health. Like any surgical procedure, bottom surgery comes with certain risks and potential complications. It’s important to note that stopping HRT can have physical and emotional effects on the body, and it should always be done under the guidance of a medical professional. She may have also wanted to take a break from HRT to reassess her transition goals and needs. The reasons for Jules’ decision are not explicitly stated, but she may have experienced side effects or complications from the medication. However, in the second season, Jules decides to stop taking hormones. In the show Euphoria, Jules’ character starts taking hormone replacement therapy (HRT) as part of her transition to living as a woman. It’s important to note that bottom surgery is not necessary for every transgender individual, and the decision to undergo the procedure is a personal one that should be made in consultation with a medical professional. The recovery time can vary, but patients are typically advised to avoid strenuous activity for several weeks following the surgery. MTF bottom surgery is a major surgical procedure that can take several hours to complete. The process typically involves removing the testes and penis, creating a vaginal cavity, and reconstructing the labia, clitoris, and other external genitalia. Male-to-female (MTF) bottom surgery, also known as vaginoplasty, is a surgical procedure that creates female genitalia from male genitalia. How do they do male-to-female bottom surgery? However, her identity as a woman is never questioned or invalidated by the show or its characters. Throughout the series, Jules’ character struggles with her gender identity and the challenges of transitioning. It’s important to note that gender identity is a personal and individual experience and Jules’ identity as a woman should be respected and acknowledged. Jules is a transgender woman, meaning she was assigned male at birth but identified as female. Their relationship is portrayed as nuanced and authentically, focusing on the emotional connection between the two characters rather than their physical intimacy. The show has been praised for its representation of LGBTQ+ relationships and characters, and the relationship between Jules and Elliot is no exception. However, whether the two characters sleep together, on-screen is never explicitly shown. Did Jules and Elliot sleep together?Įlliot is introduced in the second season of Euphoria, and he and Jules develop a romantic relationship. Her story arc is a nuanced portrayal of the complex issues surrounding gender identity and the social and emotional struggles that come with it. Jules’ character is a representation of the challenges faced by many transgender individuals in real life. She also struggles with mental health issues and substance abuse. As a transgender woman, she faces discrimination and harassment from peers and family members. Jules is a complex character in Euphoria, and several factors contribute to her struggles throughout the series. This surgery is unrelated to her gender identity and serves as a plot device to develop her character’s relationship with Rue, another main character in the series. However, in the show’s second season, Jules is seen recovering from a minor surgery to remove a cyst. It’s unclear which specific surgery the question refers to, but Jules’ character has not undergone any significant surgeries on-screen. What surgery did the girl in Euphoria have?Įuphoria features several characters who undergo different surgeries, including Jules, a transgender woman. ![]()

So, always remember: It doesn’t matter which part you’re cooking, the safe internal temperature is always 165° F!Īgain, this is a minimum, and not necessarily the best temperature in terms of tenderness and flavor. This temperature is the bottom threshold for all safely-cooked chicken, as well as other types of poultry such as turkey. High heat converts the collagen to gelatin, which is much more tender and juicy. It’s made of collagen, a common type of protein that requires a high level of heat to properly break down.
